Kya Dixon is Vice President of College Retention & Data Management at District of Columbia College Access Program (DC-CAP). She manages the college retention programs and services provided to DC-CAP high school graduates from both District of Columbia Public and Public Charter high schools pursuing postsecondary degrees. She is also responsible for the collection and reporting of college enrollment, persistence and completion data used to support DC-CAP’s programming.

Dixon worked her entire professional career in the higher education and college success fields, including experience in financial aid, scholarship administration, summer enrichment programs and college retention. Prior to DC-CAP, she was the College Program Manager for the DC Achievers Scholarship Program and responsible for providing support to participants from six Wards 7 & 8 high schools to ensure they persist and graduate college. She has been an active member of the New York State Financial Aid Administrator’s Association (NYSFAA) and New Jersey Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NJASFAA), National College Access Network (NCAN) and National Scholarship Providers Association (NSPA).

Dixon earned a M.S. in higher education administration from Drexel University and a B.A. in American Studies from Trinity College (CT).
