EARLY CHILDHOOD DATA IN DC'S EIGHT WARDS
New ward-level maps allow District residents and leaders to continue to use the Early Development Instrument to drive outcomes and decisions at the ward and policy levels. By noting trends by ward on the summary maps, citizens can spark politically aligned conversations around the supports children need for strong developmental outcomes. Communities can also focus in on neighborhoods with more details to support local engagement. DC is now poised to continue to use the EDI to inform individual practices and collective outcomes.
