Lisa Neuberger Fernandez is a Managing Director at Accenture, where she is the head of Strategy and Innovation for Corporate Citizenship. She leads a global team to define strategic direction in areas such as social innovation, environmental sustainability and non-financial transparency. 

A social entrepreneur, she has a 19-year track record at Accenture managing teams to launch innovative initiatives such as AI4Good, new business lines in Sustainability and Public Service Value, a global Eco Champion program for employees, and a nonprofit consulting organization. She began her career as a strategy consultant driving high performance for clients across public, private and nonprofit sectors. 

Lisa regularly sponsors pioneering research on topics such as Digital Adoption, Scaling Digital Learning, and Driving Sustainable Value Creation with CECP. She co-authored New Era of Sustainability UNGC CEO Study and advises LinkedIn for Good, Upwardly Global, REDF and Save the Children. She has also worked at the White House, the OECD, and CBS News—and holds graduate degrees from Wharton Business School and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.

In June of 2000, Venture Philanthropy Partners opened it doors, spurred by the efforts of three founders who asked themselves,
“Could the business world provide a different, innovative approach to social change?”

In the years that followed, VPP quickly became a strategic hub for high-impact investments through deep and sustained partnerships with foundations, businesses, government agencies and school systems.

In April of 2020, VPP formed a strategic alliance with Raise DC to build an investment organization capable of driving alignment among communities, and nonprofit, business and regional leaders around systems change. VPP+Raise DC committed to call out and confront policies, practices and systems that contribute to racial inequity.

Today, we recognize the need to do more, be bolder, and act faster. Youth Invest Partners is a call to “dream big and do big” to drive change that will build better futures for Greater Washington youth today and in the days, months and years to come. Our new name and brand reflects energy and focus as we collaborate, innovate and transform.
